I Salute The Woman of South Africa!
To all the courageous woman of South Africa,
As I celebrate ‘Woman’s Day’, I salute you all. Courage is not necessarily the absence of fear, but rather the presence of faith in action. I have met the most amazing woman in South Africa in spite of the many adverse and fearful circumstances that have attempted to paralyze them, they, nonetheless, have acted! I have met woman caring for families in the gang infested territory’s of Johannesburg; to woman who have survived the most horrific trauma – trauma unimaginable for human comprehension. Woman raising families in the poverty of squatter camps, to those striving for justice in an unjust and cruel world. Woman abandoned and abused, rejected and betrayed, acting, standing strong, for what is right. Brave woman. From Miss South Africa’s to Entrepreneurs – Woman too numerous to mention!
Woman who replaced their fears with courage, even in the face of death. Courage is what motivated and drove these precious warriors beyond their fears, past all barriers, thrusting themselves into the unseen realm, believing and walking in a faith that goes beyond mere intellectual faith, even demonic faith, but into the realm of dynamic demonstrative faith, a faith that produces constructive action and hope, despite the pain!
Perhaps the best known Biblical example of a woman with courage was Esther. She feared for her life as she faced going before the king of Persia unsummoned. She knew that anyone who did so was put to death. But by the wise counsel of Mordecai, she overcame her fear and did what he instructed her to do. Though her life was at stake, she did not let fear rule her actions. As a result, she was able to sway the heart of the most powerful man in the Persian Empire, in order to preserve the lives of her people.
To all the God fearing woman of South Africa, know that if God has called you to accomplish a seemingly impossible task, He will not leave you in a place of despair. Fear is often a natural human reaction. But despite fear, the Spirit of God moving in and working through a believer can accomplish incredible things.
We pray for you who still stand, and remember the fallen – RESPECT!
In His love,
Marc
