Prophecy In The News – Hollywood Is Mine!

Dear Warriors,

On the 12 June 2011 I had a very powerful experience with The Lord. He reminded me of the ‘Winds of Change’ that He had predicted through me and reminded me of how those predictions of change had already come to pass around the world. From change in the middle East to change in the political landscape of many countries, including South Africa! In this vision I heard Him say that now change would come to the Body of Christ as He was preparing New Wineskins for New Wine.

One of the events I also saw was His declaration of change coming to various ‘kingdoms’ that satan had occupied up until now which had been used to capture many through creative arts, the sporting kingdom, music etc. Suddenly I heard Him begin to declare that the Earth was the Lords and the fullness thereof. That ‘territory’ satan had previously held captive would be satans no longer, that He was going to invade those kingdoms, and in so doing would touch the hearts of many… so I prophesied as He commanded me!

Below is an excerpt of that prophecy released from the platform of Destiny in 2011.

PROPHECY RELEASED FROM DESTINY’S PLATFORM ON THE 12 JUNE 2011 .

The Spirit of the Lord says, “for too long, for too long the kingdoms, yes the mountains, the mountains of darkness have captured the music, have captured the sporting kingdom, the sportsmen and sportswoman. For too long, mountains of darkness have prevailed and have captured My creativity that I have placed inside so many. And that creativity was Mine. And it became and remained unsanctified. But now,” the spirit of the Lord says, “the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of every other mountain. For now,” God says, “I bring great change; I told you that I would bring change in the political arena. I told you I would bring change in the Middle East. I told you these things; I said that this would be a sign. A change would come to My people to My bride, because this is My time. So now see,” says the Spirit, “I am preparing new wineskins for I cannot put new wine into old wineskins. But I have begun the process of change and many are hearing the sound. And many are being drawn by My Spirit to change.”

“But now watch,” says the Lord, “in the next decade. In the next ten years, I shall begin to invade the arts. I shall begin to invade Hollywood. I shall begin to invade Disney. I shall begin to invade the sporting kingdom. Oh My children, My children look to Me, for this earth is Mine.”

“For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof. Satan shall not forever have his way, for I have stopped him. For this is My season now, and now many shall begin to bear fruit, many shall begin to bear fruit, yes many. For I have taken many and I have put them in Naamans house, yes I have, for Naaman was a Syrian commander that I gave victory to. But I put My child in the midst of his house. And in the various industries and the places of darkness, (these mountains), I have placed Mine that shall in this hour begin to rise up and open up their voices and speak. Shall begin to rise up and create a sound that many shall have to take notice of in this time. Yes even satan shall have to take notice and bow his knee. For it shall be driven by My Spirit …

(After posting this prophecy regards Hollywood, more of the prophecy began to unfold and come to pass at the Oscars through the voice of Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey, 44, who triggered a love-hate reaction and a viral video Sunday when he thanked God profusely after winning the best actor Oscar! “First off, I want to thank God, ’cause that’s who I look up to. He’s graced my life with opportunities that I know is not of my hand or any other human hand. He has shown me that it’s a scientific fact that gratitude reciprocates”).

The media has revealed 4 major blockbusters containing Biblical content all starring ‘A’ list celebrities which are to be released in the year of 2014.

HERE IS THE LIST OF THESE MAJOR MOVIES:

1) Noah – Starring Russell Crowe.

The Daily Mail reported the following (14 November 2013):

“A sneak peak of the eagerly anticipated new blockbuster, Noah, has been released and it doesn’t look as though it will disappoint. Russell Crowe stars as the biblical ark builder in a film based on the Old Testament tale, which sees him sport long hair and a full bushy beard. The teaser trailer sees the 49-year-old entirely submerged under water, before he is heard saying: ‘I saw water. Death by water. And I saw new life.’ (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2507265/Noah-trailer-epic-new-biblical-tale-starring-Russell-Crowe.html#ixzz2kefPcvjV)

2) Exodus (Moses) – Starring Christian Bale.

The Daily Mail reported the following (23 October 2013):

It’s an epic undertaking but if pictures from the set of Ridley Scott’s biblical movie Exodus are anything to go by, Christian Bale is up to the task of playing Moses. The 39-year-old actor portrays the lead character in the new movie, which follows the classic tale of the Israelites’ departure from Egypt under the guidance of Moses. (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2472312/Christian-Bale-films-Ridley-Scotts-biblical-epic-Exodus.html#ixzz2kegmREsg)

3) Left Behind – Starring Nicholas Cage.

The Advocate reported the following (13 November 2013):

“Left Behind” is based on the best-selling series of Christian novels about life after the Rapture. The movie will deal with what happens to people who are left behind on Earth after Christians are called to heaven. (http://theadvocate.com/home/6588020-125/nicholas-cage-to-shoot-movie)

4. Son Of God

ABC News (17 February 2014):

“Jesus Returns to the Big Screen in Biblical Movie ‘Son of God’ “

The Hollywood husband-and-wife team that made “The Bible” mini-series a smash hit is hoping to parlay that success onto the big screen with their new biblical movie, “Son of God.”

Actress Roma Downey, best known for her leading role on the TV series “Touched by an Angel,” and her husband, reality TV show producer Mark Burnett of “Survivor,” “Shark Tank” and “The Voice” fame, are the creative team behind “Son of God,” which opens nationwide on Feb. 28.“Jesus hasn’t been on the big screen for 10 years since ‘The Passion of the Christ,’” Downey said.

The couple is hoping “Son of God” will strike a chord with a new generation of moviegoers.

“We’re aware that many people learn through visual storytelling,” Downey said. “And for so many people, people who don’t go to church, people who maybe have never read the Bible, this movie, ‘Son of God,’ will be the first time that they hear and see the story of Jesus come to life.”

http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/jesus-returns-big-screen-biblical-blockbuster-son-god/story?id=22554147

2014 is no doubt a most significant year on God’s Spiritual Calender. Son of God opens Nationwide in the USA today, 28th Feb. 2014!

I encourage you to read the whole prophecy to understand what God is saying for this time and the season that is upon His Church. You can read the full prophecy by clicking the following link - http://www.destiny.co.za/prophecy/holy-angels-all-around/

Hollywood is getting a little tap on it’s shoulder and God is busy establishing His Kingdom (mountain) over the kingdoms (mountains)of darkness! The word kingdom speaks of rule and authority. Of course we know that in scripture mountains often represent spiritual kingdoms. It’s time for the church to go ‘ON THE TOP’

Isaiah 2:2 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord’s house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it. (NKJV)

Enjoy!

In His love,

Marc

Time has come for God idea in all domains of life. Humanistic, rationalistic and naturalistic tendencies are ruining all human hopes. Time to do politics God’s way is now. Political and economical analysts. Can only speculate. Apostles and prophets in market place are the only ones that can reveal God’s eternal purpose for all nations. Religiosity and churchianity must give way for Godly governance. We appreciate to see men and women that have guts to face present governments and warn them of their corruption and reveal God’s plans for all nations. In God we trust.

I recently heard that 14 Christian movies are being released this year. God’s not dead is currently showing and at the opening weekend it was number 2 in the theaters. There was such an anointing when the Newsboys sang “Make a way for the King” I heard a testimony over the radio of a lady whose husband gave his life to the Lord after seeing the movie.

The writer of the movie Noah was written by an athiest and has said that the movie is the most unbiblical movie ever made. Also in the movie Noah, God is not even mentioned once. The movie Exodus is also written by an athiest. I can’t help but wonder if maybe Hollywood is paving the way for the Antichrist to be accepted and believed to be Jesus Christ. In the bible it does say many will be fooled and believe false doctrine including the anti christ.

This is awesome! It’s all true. I’ve met some religious nutcase prophets before. They would want to get rid of this true prophecy, because all they can prophecy is judgement and condemnation. Many of them believe that God has given them a ministry to expose things. So they attack many of the true ministers of God on the internet. But God’s true word always prevails.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but we have been warned not to trust false prophets. Is this guy one of those? I really don’t know, but I do know that prophecying change in the Middle East, and religious based movies are a sure bet. Especially the movies (which he does not specifically foresee) simply because biblical based movies are always major cash cows for Hollywood. So, though I’ve taken in what he has to say, in the spirit of caution, I’ll reserve my judgement, and would encourage others to be careful, that’s all…

Noah the movie is blasphemy to say the least! To think any good can come from Hollywood is ‘Kingdom Now Theology’ false lie! To think the world must and will be taken over by believers before Christ returns is a joke and not in Scripture! Stop deceiving these poor people, especially those commenting that we should take dominion and authority! These false views border on insanity!

3 Apr 2014 @ 4:12 am

Dear Werner,

I agree that ‘Kingdom Now Theology’ is a lie. Well done for discerning that.

I do not believe that the ‘world must be taken over by believers’ before Christ returns. Nowhere in my prophecy nor Theology do I say that or teach it either???

There will, however, be a demonstration of His power and rule (His Kingdom) ‘preached to all the Nations’ of the world before He returns, this is in scripture! (Read my Blog titled ‘When Is The End To Come? Is It Really 2012?’) I don’t know what you rambling on about?

Please get your facts straight before you attack me in your partnership with the accuser of the brethren? God can bring His message through any medium He so chooses? A donkey, Namaan the commander, who was an enemy of God’s people, etc.

Of course we must take authority and have dominion over the ‘rule’ of satan (his kingdom which is spiritual, manifest in the natural). No insanity here! You are just very confused.

What God was saying is that ‘The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof’, and that the mountains of satan (his established rule) will have God’s power demonstrated, (the mountain of the Lord’s house), over his works, by the church, as a ‘sign’ of Christ’s imminent return. Isaiah, Jesus and Peter taught and predicted this.

Ignorance is the devils happy place!

Psalm 24:1–2 The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein, 2 for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.

In His love,

Marc

Dear Werner,

There are only two ministries that operate on the planet – ‘The ministry of condemnation’ versus ‘The ministry of righteousness’, (2 Cor 3). Which one is yours?

I believe that God has had enough of the religious system that has brought great shame to His name while totally misrepresenting the heart of God to a dying world and persisting in persecuting His servants.

I am busy reaching people in an area where there are unreached population groups and unfortunately do not have the time nor energy to ‘dance’ to your incredible ignorance and self righteousness. This does not make me false? (sic). I prefer to focus on the mission and purpose of Christ – discipleship and reaching the lost! Oh that Christians would become more Christ like in their expression! “I never came to condemn the lost but to save them” – Jesus

Do something constructive with your time – like reaching out to the unreached, unloved and untouched, instead of condemning them and publicly attacking His precious Bride.

I have three children, two grandchildren, and have been serving Christ in full time ministry for 25 years. Your arrogance and disrespect is unfortunately a disease within the Church at present.

Therefore the following scripture is my prayer:

1 Samuel 24:12–15 12 Let the Lord judge between you and me, and let the Lord avenge me on you. But my hand shall not be against you. 13 As the proverb of the ancients says, ‘Wickedness proceeds from the wicked.’ But my hand shall not be against you. 14 After whom has the king of Israel come out? Whom do you pursue? A dead dog? A flea? 15 Therefore let the Lord be judge, and judge between you and me, and see and plead my case, and deliver me out of your hand.”

Satan is the accuser of the brethren!

Goodbye,

Dr. Marc Bredenkamp – (D.Div.)

P.S. I failed to publish your rantings as I care for those young Christians who might read your hateful communication and stumble as a result of it! (Romans 14) We have better things to do than to quarrel with those who enjoy to incite ‘wars with words’. Don’t sit behind your computer attacking me. It is unscriptural! Make an appointment with me and we will sit ‘face to face’ and discuss prophecy, scripture, Eschatology and the like. THIS is the mature Christian way!? (Matthew 18:15-17)

4 Apr 2014 @ 8:36 am

The Noah movie opens today to a confusing chorus of Christian voices. Some say, “Go,” while others say, “No.” Some say, “Good,” while others say, “Heresy.”

So predictable.

If Hollywood has a checkered history with biblical movies, Christian responses are equally inconsistent. Partially at issue is whether followers of Christ should expect perfect alignment with scripture when a non-believer is telling the story. Any deviation from the text sets loose howls of “war on Christians” or “war on the Bible.”

I cannot for the life of me understand why some pastors–who do not agree among themselves what the Nephalim are–can suddenly agree among themselves what the Nephalim are not. Common enemy and all that I suppose.

The issue seems to be whether followers of Christ should “support Hollywood” or “send a message to Hollywood” regarding biblical movies. Here are a few thoughts:

1. No movie ever gets all of a biblical story exactly right.
The most well established biblical epic of all time, The Ten Commandments, does not get it right and the vast majority of Christians have seen and appreciate the (now dated) effort. Expecting movies, many of which are working with scant source material, to stick strictly to the biblical storyline is quite preposterous.

Besides, if Noah went literally by the book, viewers would have to listen to him preach for 120 years, then sit through 40-days of rain scenes, followed by months of floating. Theater preparation would necessitate Dramamine and motion sickness bags. Because of the work of believers Paramount added an “explanatory message” to the advertising:

“The film is inspired by the story of Noah.

While artistic license has been taken, we believe that this film is true to the essence, values, and integrity of a story that is a cornerstone of faith for millions of people worldwide.

The biblical story of Noah can be found in the book of Genesis.”

So, Hollywood makes a movie about a biblical story, includes a statement telling viewers they have departed from the actual story, and explain exactly where they can find the actual story in the Bible, yet this is a bad thing?

Good grief.

2. Too many Christians are like chained dogs that have been living on a diet of gunpowder and pepper sauce.
You have met them. You many be one of them. Always itching for a fight. Always critical of every other Christian. Especially where they can find any place of disagreement. They cannot see any view as orthodox other than the echo chamber reinforced theology they themselves hold. Confirmation bias seems to be their spiritual gift.

Constantly angry, critical believers alienate honest unbelievers, even those who are considering the claims of Scripture. Nowhere does Jude imply that “earnestly contending for the faith” means berating anything at all, much less everything in sight.

3. It is far better for Hollywood to explore themes surrounding God and miss by a little, than explore themes surrounding Jesus and miss by a mile.
These are two different things. By all accounts, Noah has its hits and misses. But, by all accounts, it is not The Last Temptation of Christ. It definitely is not Bill Maher Religulous style brain death.

4. Religious and biblically themed movies are cultural bridges for the gospel.
Whether the movie is Noah, Bruce Almighty, The Village, The Passion of the Christ, Heaven Is For Real, Exodus, Mary, Mother of Christ or The Blind Side the bridge is built for us. Why destroy the bridge rather than walking over it? The gospel travels more easily over a bridge than over a chasm.

5. Why is it so difficult to affirm the good rather than carping on the erroneous?
It is quite ironic how many of these complainers will affirm Christian movies that are poorly made, poorly written, and containing questionable theology. Are Chariots of Fire and Les Mis the only secular made biblical themed movies the majority of Christians can agree on?
We need not be unnecessarily critical of Hollywood’s biblically themed movies to affirm and support a burgeoning Christian film segment. Perhaps support will bring an ultimately better product from both directions.

It makes me wonder how different Mars Hill would have been had Paul been like many 21st century American Christians.

“As I look around I see you are very, very religious. This, of course, is a terrible thing. Look at all these altars. You people are blind and you don’t even know it! You have altars to cows, horses, and false gods of every ilk!

Look. Here’s an altar to an unknown god. What a waste! I cannot believe God has not smitten you all with boils and unimaginable plagues. You ungodly, pagan, unrighteous, rebellious, blind, deaf, dumb, false god worshiping bunch of liberals! You should tear down all these altars including the one to the god who will be named later! Just believe in Jesus.

Morons.

If you want to find how that conversation really went, take a peek at Acts 17 in the New Testament.

Surely we must be discerning in all movie viewing, not merely those that claim a biblical source code. There is nothing wrong with checking multiple reviews to help come to a personal conclusion. You can read every review written, but if you have not seen the movie you should be slow to criticize. Better to say, “Based on reviews I’ve decided not to see it and here’s why…” rather than, “This is a piece of drivel no living, breathing Christian should see it” when you have not seen it yourself.

And so it goes…

Marty Duren

You’ve probably heard the controversy about the upcoming Paramount Pictures movie “Noah.” In the last few weeks, I’ve seen numerous blogs, social media posts, and commentaries on the movie – usually criticizing it and detailing how far it strays from an accurate Biblical portrayal. But I’m one of only a handful of people who’ve actually seen the movie. Which is probably why I’m a bit bothered at the condemnations and protests from Christians who have never actually watched it. That’s why I felt compelled to write this post. Is the story an exact Biblical representation? No. For one thing, the Noah story in the Bible is remarkably short. We don’t know what happened inside the ark during the voyage. We don’t know what Noah was thinking. We don’t know the family dynamic. So the filmmakers added to the story. And honestly, there are “extra-Biblical” elements in the film. These are things that don’t line up with the Biblical account at all. If I had directed the film, I wouldn’t have added them, but this isn’t my film.

Last week, at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville, three people who have seen it – NRB President Dr. Jerry Johnson, John Snowden, who was the Biblical advisor on the film, and myself (as an NRB board member) showed never before seen clips from the movie and led a discussion with hundreds of NRB members. This is Dr. Johnson’s response, and here’s John’s take. And from my perspective, in spite of non-Biblical elements in the film, and obvious reasons of concern for Christians, in a capsule form, here’s why I think Christians need to see the movie:

1. I’ve been on the set. I’ve talked to the Chairman of the Studio, as well as the producer, director, set designer, and even the star – Russell Crowe. Not once did I ever get the feeling they were anything but serious. They didn’t mock the story, went to great lengths to get the ark built to exact Biblical measurements, and did an amazing amount of research. In fact, writer Ari Handel and director Darren Aronofsky have been working on this script for 16 years.

2. This week, Dr. Jerry Johnson, president of the National Religious Broadcasters made an appeal to Paramount Studios to use a disclaimer on the film. He suggested that (like Dreamworks did in “Prince of Egypt“) they add a disclaimer to say that this was INSPIRED by the Bible story rather than a film of the story itself. Paramount agreed with the idea without hesitation (I was on the phone calls), and here is their joint announcement. While it was too late to add it to the film, they readily agreed to add the disclaimer to the movie posters, website, digital promotions, as well as all radio and TV commercials that haven’t already been distributed. This tells me that Paramount values the Christian audience and wants to work with us.

3) It’s an epic film. I’ve always wondered about the places where the Biblical account of Noah was silent. In this version, the filmmakers made Noah a complex character, and helped me see possibilities I’d never considered for how details in the story could have happened. This isn’t the Sunday School sanitized version of the story, and for that I’m grateful. After the screening, I thought of novelist Flannery O’Connor – one of my favorite writers. Although she died in 1964, the movie’s unabashed look at sinful, grotesque humanity, and the extraordinary saving grace of God reminded me of how she might have looked at the story.

4. For at least a decade, we’ve been asking Hollywood to produce movies based on the Bible. Now that they’re doing it, let’s be more encouraging. So far, they’ve proven to be serious in the effort, whether they miss the target or not. So let’s support it, not stifle it.

5. Our expectations may be unrealistic. Paramount Pictures is a business – a secular film studio. Should we really expect every Bible based film to be 100% accurate? I’m thrilled that Mark Burnett’s “Son of God” is much closer to the text. But to assume every movie out of the chute will be as accurate, is simply not realistic.

6. Whatever extra-Biblical elements there are in the film, that doesn’t overcome the fact that Paramount Studios is spending hundreds of millions of dollars to produce and promote a Bible story. This will be a national conversation that millions will participate in, and Noah will be water cooler conversation for the next 6 months. What an opportunity for the Christian community! Instead of condemning it outright, let’s join the conversation. Rarely does an event come along that begs us to present our side of the story. But if we don’t see the movie, we’ll be wasting the opportunity.

7. This is a powerful opportunity to share our faith. If you’ve felt awkward witnessing to a friend or co-worker, then what could be easier than taking them to a movie? Then go out and discuss what the Bible really says about the story.

8) It’s only a movie. As pollster George Barna remarked after Mel Gibson’s blockbuster “Passion of the Christ“: “Less than one-tenth of one percent of those who saw the film stated that they made a profession of faith or accepted Jesus Christ as their savior in reaction to the film’s content.” That was the biggest religious film of all time, and yet it didn’t spark a revival. Likewise, chances are a movie about Noah that deviates from the scripture won’t drive Christians away from the faith.

9) Do we as a Christian community really need to “protect” ourselves from a movie that isn’t 100% Biblically accurate? Would the Apostle Paul have run from the challenge? Rather than withdrawing from the discussion, I suggest that we seize the moment, turn the tables, and use this to our advantage. Pastors should be preaching messages on the Noah story. Let’s use the film to share our faith with friends and co-workers. Like the Old Testament’s Joseph, who rose to remarkable heights in an alien and hostile culture, let’s not shy away from these opportunities, rather, let’s use them to demonstrate the power of God’s Word.

Finally – remember that there are hundreds of serious, dedicated Christians working in the entertainment industry every day. These are professionals who – like Joseph – are working from the inside. When we launch attacks, petition drives, or boycotts, we’re damaging their ability to make change happen. As the Hollywood Prayer Network recommends, instead of making Hollywood the enemy, let’s consider Hollywood a mission field.

Perhaps we need to ask ourselves: When was the last time we prayed for a Christian professional (a “media missionary”) trying to make difference in Hollywood – the most influential place on earth?

Maybe it’s time to start.

EDITOR’S NOTE: We have decided to close the comments on this post. Plenty of disagreement has been voiced, which we welcome. Plenty of personal attacks, accusations, and rather uncivil comments have been deleted as well. Personally I regret that we see such venom over something that isn’t essential to our faith or practice, but such is the trend in an age where it’s so easy to sling mud at people we don’t know from behind the keyboard. Even if you strongly disagree with Phil’s points, there is a godly way to offer admonishment and we’ve seen too little of it here. Meanwhile, this has become one of the most liked and promoted articles published on this site.
